walls-of-dubrovnik.com is an independent online guide to visiting the Walls of Dubrovnik — the ticket system, opening hours, walking routes, the fortresses of Lovrijenac and Bokar, and the practical questions around a visit, from filming locations to finding a hotel that doesn't involve carrying suitcases up eighty stairs.
What this site is (and isn't)
We are not the official website of the Dubrovnik City Walls, and we do not sell official tickets ourselves. The walls are operated by the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities (Društvo prijatelja dubrovačke starine), and official tickets are sold at citywallsdubrovnik.hr. We are an editorial project: we research, verify and organise the information a visitor actually needs, and we clearly attribute factual data such as prices and opening times to the official sources they come from.
How we work
- Facts are sourced. Prices, hours and rules are taken from the official operator's website and cross-checked against recent visitor reports. When something may change seasonally, we say so.
- Advice is practical. Entrance choice, timing, heat, stairs, crowds — the guidance on this site is the kind you'd get from a friend who has done the walk, not from a brochure.
- Updates. We review the core pages regularly, particularly around seasonal price and schedule changes. Spotted something outdated? Tell us at info@walls-of-dubrovnik.com — corrections are genuinely welcome.
How the site is funded

The guide is published in 16 languages. Translations are written for each audience rather than machine-generated word-for-word, with local currencies, units and booking habits in mind.
